Event Submission Guidelines
Aboriginal YEG is a communication hub that promotes and supports the Aboriginal community in the city of Edmonton.
The event pages provide information and publicize local events using a calendar with event listings that are led by or of interest to the Aboriginal community in Edmonton.
Events can include conferences, workshops, speaking engagements, celebrations, arts and cultural events. While Aboriginal YEG is focused on Edmonton it will also accept events in surrounding areas including Enoch, St. Albert, Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove and Stony Plain.
Please note that Aboriginal YEG reserves the right to exclude events that do not meet the standards or intent of the site.
Submit
To add a community event complete and submit the online form. Please be aware that the event does not upload automatically onto the site. The * symbol indicates required fields.
Multiple Dates
If you have one event that takes place over a number of days, submit it once. e.g.) Conference – same event over a number of days.
If you have a number of individual events over a period of days, submit each event individually. e.g.) Awareness Week – related events over a number of days
Websites
To direct a user to the home/landing page of a website enter the domain name (or website address). To direct a user to specific webpage within a website provide the full web address (or URL) for that specific page.
Logo
For best results logos should be MIN. 250 x 250px and in the file format JPG, JPEG, PNG, or GIF.
Event Poster(s)
Submit documents (poster, registration, etc.) in PDF file format.
