The website provides information on community events, Aboriginal-led organizations and businesses as well as local and national news.

Why Aboriginal YEG?

The acronym YEG is the airport code for Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and Aboriginal YEG can also be thought of as Aboriginal Edmonton.

The area known today as Edmonton has a long history of Indigenous occupation extending back before settlers arrived. Among the Cree people, the area is known as amiskwaciy-waskahikan, which means “Beaver Hills House” in the Cree language.
